Description
The Energizer USB battery charger charges two to four AA or AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries simultaneously via any standard USB port. The charger comes packaged with four pre-charged 1300mAh AA NiMH batteries ready to use out of the box. Green LED indicators on the charger light up when each battery reaches full charge, typically within eight hours from empty.
Designed for home, office and travel use, the charger runs from any USB power source including laptop USB ports, wall adapters with USB output, power banks and car USB adapters. The compact black housing measures approximately 90mm x 60mm and houses the four individual charging bays with spring-loaded negative terminals. Each bay accepts either AA or AAA cells, allowing mixed charging of different sizes in the same session.
The included 1300mAh AA batteries are compatible with cameras, remote controls, wireless keyboards, game controllers, torches and other household devices that run on AA cells. NiMH chemistry provides hundreds of recharge cycles with minimal memory effect, retaining capacity better than older NiCd technology. The charger optimises charge rate to extend battery cycle life, preventing overcharge through automatic cutoff when the cells reach full capacity.

Frequently Asked
Can the charger handle AAA batteries as well as AA?
Yes. Each of the four bays accepts both AA and AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries. You can charge a mix of sizes in the same session — for example, two AA and two AAA cells simultaneously.
How long does a full charge take?
A full charge from empty typically takes eight hours for 1300mAh AA batteries. Charge time varies depending on the mAh capacity of the cells and how depleted they were when placed in the charger. The green LED on each bay lights up when that cell reaches full charge.
What power source does the charger need?
The charger runs from any standard USB port delivering 5V output. This includes laptop USB ports, USB wall adapters, power banks and car USB adapters. A USB cable is included; a wall adapter is not included but any USB wall adapter will work.
How many recharge cycles do the included batteries support?
NiMH batteries typically support hundreds of recharge cycles before capacity begins to degrade noticeably. The exact number depends on usage patterns, depth of discharge per cycle and storage conditions, but 300-500 full cycles is a reasonable expectation for 1300mAh AA NiMH cells.
