Description

This is Energizer's Accu Recharge Pro, a mains charger for AA and AAA nickel metal hydride rechargeable cells, and it arrives with four AA cells already included. Those cells are rated at 2000mAh and 1.2V, which is the working voltage of every NiMH cell, so they read lower than the 1.5V printed on a disposable alkaline. Most devices designed for AA power run happily on that. The pack states the charger indicates charging stages and ensures a full charge, and that it helps to maximise battery performance.

It suits a household that gets through cells rather than one that needs a cell now and then: game controllers, wireless mice and keyboards, children's toys, torches, digital thermometers and wall clocks. Four bays mean you can turn round a full set for a controller or a torch in one go, and keeping a second set of four charged means nothing sits flat waiting.
