Description

This is a pair of Energizer Recharge Power Plus cells in C size, rated at 2500mAh and supplied pre-charged, as the pack states. C is the fat, stubby cell that sits between AA and D. The nickel metal hydride chemistry means they charge and run again rather than going in the bin after one outing. Nominal voltage is 1.2V, normal for NiMH and a little below the 1.5V of a disposable alkaline; most torches, radios and toys run happily on it. The pack also carries the claim that these are the world's first cells made with 7% recycled batteries.

C cells turn up in the kit that eats batteries fastest: large rubber torches and camping lanterns, portable radios, and children's musical toys.
