Description
The Energizer CR2032 is a 3V lithium coin cell battery, 20mm in diameter and 3.2mm thick, sold here in a 6-pack blister. Each cell delivers 220-240mAh capacity depending on load, making it the standard power source for car key fobs, watches, fitness trackers, glucose monitors, security remotes, motherboard CMOS backup, bike computers and LED tea lights.
Lithium chemistry gives the CR2032 a shelf life of up to 10 years in storage, retaining charge when kept in a drawer or vehicle glovebox between uses. The cells operate across a wide temperature range from -30°C to +60°C, making them suitable for outdoor security sensors and car remotes that experience seasonal temperature swings. Unlike alkaline coin cells, lithium chemistry maintains stable voltage throughout discharge rather than dropping gradually.
The CR2032 format is interchangeable with cells labelled DL2032, ECR2032, BR2032, 5004LC, KCR2032 and SB-T15 — all refer to the same 20mm x 3.2mm lithium cell. Energizer builds these with leak-resistant construction, using a crimped seal that prevents electrolyte escape even when the cell is fully depleted. This protects the electronics inside a watch movement, key fob or medical device from corrosion damage after the battery dies.

Frequently Asked
What does the CR2032 fit?
CR2032 cells power car key fobs, wristwatches, fitness trackers, glucose monitors, bike computers, bathroom scales, security remotes, motherboard CMOS backup, LED tea lights and small torches. Any device marked "CR2032", "DL2032" or "ECR2032" takes this cell.
How long does a CR2032 last?
Shelf life is up to 10 years unopened. Installed life depends on device draw — a watch may run 2-3 years, a car key fob 3-5 years with normal use, a fitness tracker 6-12 months. High-drain devices like LED tea lights drain a CR2032 in weeks.
Can I recharge a CR2032?
No. Lithium coin cells are single-use only. Attempting to recharge a CR2032 can cause leakage, rupture or fire. Rechargeable equivalents exist (LIR2032) but they deliver 3.6V instead of 3V and are not drop-in compatible.
What's the difference between CR2032 and CR2025?
CR2032 is 3.2mm thick; CR2025 is 2.5mm thick. The CR2032 has higher capacity (220-240mAh vs 160-170mAh) but will not fit devices designed for the thinner CR2025. Check the device's battery compartment marking before buying.
