Description

This is Energizer's one hour charger, and it arrives with four AA 2300mAh rechargeable cells already in the box. The pack states a full charge in an hour or less, and marks the charger for 1.2V NiMH AA and AAA cells, the two sizes most household kit runs on. A battery power gauge on the front of the unit reports the level of charge back to you, and the pack states four individual charging channels numbered 1 to 4.

Rechargeable AA cells earn their keep in anything that eats batteries: game controllers, wireless mice and keyboards, children's toys, torches, digital cameras and flash units. At 2300mAh the included cells sit at the higher end of AA NiMH capacity, which tells most in high drain kit where a weaker cell fades quickly. Keep the charger somewhere it can stay plugged in, a study desk, a utility shelf or a worktop beside a socket, and you can run a simple rotation: one set of four in the device and one set on charge.

Because each channel charges on its own, there is no need to load cells in pairs: one, two, three or four can go in as they come out of a device. The manufacturer does not state the plug type. Yes. The pack marks the charger for 1.2V NiMH AA and AAA cells, so your AAA rechargeables go in the same bays. The four cells supplied with it are AA.
