Description

Energizer Alkaline Power AAA batteries are 1.5V LR03 cells supplied in an 8-pack blister, designed for everyday household electronics including remote controls, wall clocks, torches, wireless mice and keyboards. Each cell uses alkaline chemistry to deliver consistent voltage across the discharge curve, maintaining device performance until the battery is depleted.

The batteries carry a 7-year shelf life rating when stored at room temperature, making them suitable as standby stock for occasional-use devices or emergency kits. The leak-resistant construction limits the risk of corrosion damage inside battery compartments during long storage periods, though no alkaline battery is immune to leakage if left in a device beyond its useful life.

AAA cells are the second most common battery size in UK households after AA, fitting devices with smaller battery compartments where space is limited. The 8-pack format suits homes or workplaces that maintain a stock for multiple devices, providing a balance between bulk purchasing and avoiding over-stocking batteries that may age before use. Each battery weighs approximately 11g.

Frequently Asked

How long do these batteries last in storage?

Energizer rates the Alkaline Power range at 7 years shelf life when stored at room temperature in the original packaging. Once opened, keep unused cells in a cool, dry place away from metal objects that could short-circuit the terminals.

What devices typically use AAA batteries?

AAA cells fit remote controls for TVs and audio equipment, wireless computer peripherals (mice, keyboards, presentation pointers), LED torches, bathroom scales, wall clocks, digital thermometers, and many toys. Check your device's battery compartment label for the required cell size.

Are these batteries rechargeable?

No. Alkaline batteries are single-use cells and should not be placed in a charger designed for NiMH rechargeable batteries. Attempting to recharge alkaline cells creates a risk of leakage or rupture.

How should used batteries be disposed of?

Used alkaline batteries can be recycled at most UK supermarkets, council recycling centres, and some high-street retailers. Do not place them in general household waste bins.
