Description

The Energizer A23 is a 12V alkaline battery designed for small electronic devices requiring compact high-voltage power. Each cylindrical cell measures 28.5mm tall by 10.3mm diameter and delivers 12 volts from eight stacked LR932 alkaline button cells sealed inside a single casing. This 2-pack contains two individual A23 batteries.

Commonly used in car key fobs, keyless entry systems, garage door openers, wireless doorbells, car alarms and small remote controls, the A23 provides a higher voltage than standard AA or AAA cells in a much smaller form factor. The alkaline chemistry delivers stable voltage over the battery's working life and stores well when not in use, making it suitable for devices that draw power intermittently rather than continuously.

The A23 is also known as MN21, LRV08, GP23A, V23GA, and 23AE depending on manufacturer naming conventions. All these designations refer to the same 12V alkaline cell size and are interchangeable in devices specifying any of those codes. The Energizer version uses a steel outer jacket with a protective coating to prevent leakage during storage and operation.
