Elle 2 Light Chevron Glass Flush Ceiling Light - Polished Chrome

The Elle is a 305mm flush ceiling light built around a ring of chevron-cut glass panels that form a cylindrical shade, framed top and bottom with polished chrome trim. Two E27 bulbs inside the shade refract through the angled glass cuts, scattering light across ceilings and walls rather than directing it straight downward. The chevron pattern gives the glass a faceted texture that catches both natural and artificial light when the fitting is off.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low, the 125mm projection makes the Elle suitable for hallways, landings, cloakrooms, walk-in wardrobes and low-ceiling bedrooms. The two-bulb configuration distributes light evenly across a 3-4m square area without creating a central hot spot. The flush-mount plate fits standard UK ceiling roses and conceals wiring behind the chrome canopy.

The chevron-cut glass panels are held in place by the chrome frame rather than adhesive, allowing the shade to be removed for cleaning or bulb changes without tools. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light and pairs well with cool-toned interiors, mirrored furniture, stainless steel fixtures and white or grey walls. The glass itself is clear rather than frosted, so bulb choice directly affects light quality — warm-white LED bulbs soften the output, while daylight-temperature LEDs give a crisper, brighter result.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 125mm projection makes the Elle suitable for ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low. It works particularly well in hallways, landings and bedrooms with standard UK ceiling heights of 2.3-2.4m.

What bulbs does it take?

The fitting takes two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedroom or hallway use.

Can the glass shade be removed for cleaning?

Yes. The chevron glass panels are held in place by the chrome frame and can be removed without tools for cleaning or bulb replacement. The clear glass shows dust more readily than frosted glass, so periodic cleaning maintains the refracted light quality.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs used. If you fit dimmable E27 LED bulbs and use a compatible LED dimmer switch, the fitting can be dimmed. The fitting itself does not restrict dimming.
