Description

The Elara is a compact semi-flush ceiling light measuring 76mm in diameter and 126mm in height, built from solid copper with a brushed brass finish and a natural Spanish alabaster drop diffuser. A circular ceiling plate caps the cylindrical brass housing, with the alabaster drop sitting beneath as the only light-emitting element. An integrated 5W LED at 3000K runs through the stone to produce a warm white glow.

The compact 126mm projection makes the Elara suited to ceilings for low ceilings where a hanging pendant would feel intrusive: hallways, landings, walk-in wardrobes, ensuites, utility rooms and small bedrooms. The semi-flush form sits close to the ceiling while still allowing the alabaster drop to read as a sculptural detail rather than a recessed downlight. Multiple Elara fittings can be spaced along a corridor or grouped over a stair landing as repeating points of light.

The brushed brass surface carries a fine linear grain that softens reflections and gives the metal warmth under both daylight and lamp light. The alabaster drop is cut from natural Spanish stone, so each piece carries its own veining: fine grey and beige threads run through the soft white background, and the pattern only becomes fully visible once the LED is lit and the translucency of the stone is revealed. The join between brass cylinder and alabaster drop is clean and tightly proportioned.

Is the Elara suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. With a total drop of 126mm and a 76mm diameter, the Elara is designed as a semi-flush fitting for rooms where a hanging pendant would sit too low. It works well in hallways, landings, ensuites and small bedrooms with ceiling heights from around 2.2m upwards.

What bulb does it take?

The Elara uses an integrated 5W LED at 3000K (warm white), running on 230V mains. The LED is built into the fitting and is not user-replaceable as a bulb.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No IP rating is specified for the Elara, so it should be installed only in unzoned areas of a bathroom (outside Zones 0, 1 and 2) or in dry rooms. For shower and bath areas, choose a fitting with an explicit IP44 or higher rating.

Will the alabaster veining match between fittings?

No. Each alabaster drop is cut from natural Spanish stone, so the grey and beige veining differs between individual pieces. When several Elara fittings are installed together, the variation is part of the natural material rather than a defect.
