Description
The Eamon is a black polycarbonate outdoor wall light with an integrated PIR motion sensor, casting light both upwards and downwards through two GU10 bulb fittings. The cylindrical body stands 225mm tall with a 100mm projection from the wall, and the PIR sensor mounted on the front plate detects movement up to 12 metres away across a 110-degree detection zone.
Designed for external door areas, pathways, garage walls and patio zones where automatic security or convenience lighting is needed, the Eamon fits standard outdoor junction boxes and connects to 230V mains without requiring additional control gear. The PIR sensor can be adjusted for hold-on time from 10 seconds to 5 minutes and for ambient light threshold from 10 lux to daylight, allowing the fitting to activate only when natural light drops below a chosen level.
The polycarbonate construction resists corrosion in coastal and high-moisture environments better than painted aluminium, and the IP44 rating protects against rain and solid objects above 1mm. The black finish provides a low-contrast option for dark cladding and modern render. Each of the two GU10 sockets accepts LED bulbs up to 5W (sold separately), with one bulb directing light upwards and the other downwards, creating a symmetrical wash on the wall surface.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Eamon take?
The fitting takes two GU10 bulbs, one for upward light and one for downward light. Maximum 5W per socket. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose warm-white LED GU10 bulbs between 3W-5W and 2700K-3000K for outdoor use.
How does the PIR sensor work?
The sensor detects movement up to 12 metres away across a 110-degree zone. Hold-on time is adjustable from 10 seconds to 5 minutes, and the ambient light threshold can be set from 10 lux to daylight, so the light only activates in low-light conditions or at any time of day depending on your preference.
Can it be used in coastal areas?
Yes. The polycarbonate construction resists corrosion better than painted metal fittings, making it suitable for coastal and high-moisture environments. The IP44 rating protects against rain and salt spray.
Does the Eamon require an electrician to install?
Yes. The fitting connects to 230V mains and should be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK wiring regulations. The fitting is Class II (double-insulated) and does not require an earth connection.
