Description

The Knightsbridge Eamon is a compact outdoor up/down wall light built from white polycarbonate housing two GU10 lamp holders rated for 5W LED maximum each. The IP54 rating provides protection against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction, making the fitting suitable for UK exterior walls, porch areas, balconies and courtyard installations.

Designed for installations where a clean cylindrical profile is preferred over bulkier external lighting, the Eamon measures 60mm in diameter with an 88mm projection from the wall and a 170mm height. The twin GU10 sockets fire light upward and downward through clear polycarbonate lenses at each end of the cylinder, creating vertical wash patterns on the wall surface above and below the fitting. This works well on rendered facades, brick walls and timber cladding where grazing light highlights texture.

The polycarbonate construction resists corrosion and salt spray, which Knightsbridge specifically mentions as making the Eamon range suitable for coastal installations where metal fittings would pit and corrode over time. The white finish is a solid pigmented material rather than a painted surface, so it does not flake or require repainting. The Class II electrical rating means the fitting requires no earth connection, simplifying installation where an earth wire is not present at the mounting point.

GU10 bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-5W warm-white LED GU10 bulbs at 2700K-3000K to create ambient wash light rather than bright task lighting. Dimming capability depends entirely on the chosen bulb — if a dimmable GU10 LED is fitted, the Eamon will dim when paired with a compatible LED dimmer switch.

Yes.
