Description
The Eamon is a compact IP54-rated outdoor wall light with dual GU10 sockets housed in a cylindrical brushed brass polycarbonate body. The up/down configuration sends light both upwards and downwards through clear polycarbonate lenses at each end of the 170mm cylinder, creating a symmetrical wash on the wall surface above and below the fitting.
Designed for sheltered outdoor positions under eaves, in porches, or on covered patios, the IP54 rating provides protection against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction. The polycarbonate construction resists corrosion in coastal environments and high-humidity areas where metal fittings would require frequent maintenance. The 60mm diameter and 88mm wall projection keep the fitting close to the wall, reducing obstruction in narrow side passages or doorways.
The brushed brass finish is a surface treatment over the polycarbonate base, giving the appearance of metal without the weight or corrosion concerns. Each GU10 socket accepts LED lamps up to 5W (sold separately), and dimming capability depends on the specific lamp chosen. The fitting carries Class II double insulation, meaning no earth connection is required during installation, simplifying the wiring process.

Frequently Asked
Can this be used in fully exposed outdoor positions?
The IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashing, but the fitting is best installed in sheltered positions under eaves, in porches, or on covered patios. Fully exposed positions subject to direct rain and weather would benefit from a higher IP65 or IP66 rating.
What bulbs does it take?
Two GU10 bulbs up to 5W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED GU10s between 3W-5W and 2700K-3000K. The clear polycarbonate lenses at each end allow the light to spread without diffusion.
Is it suitable for coastal areas?
Yes. The polycarbonate construction and painted finish resist salt corrosion better than bare metal fittings, making the Eamon suitable for coastal installations where aluminium or steel would oxidise over time.
What other finishes are available in the Eamon range?
Knightsbridge produces the Eamon in four colour options. Use the search function or filters at Niori to find other variants in stock, including matching spike lights for pathway and garden installation.
