Description
The Eamon is a single outdoor wall light with an integrated PIR motion sensor housed in a black polycarbonate cylinder. The fitting takes one GU10 LED bulb (sold separately, maximum 5W) and directs light downwards through a glass lens at the base of the cylinder. The PIR sensor sits below the main body and triggers the light when motion is detected within a 110-degree arc up to 12m away.
Designed for porch entrances, side passages, garage entries and rear garden doorways, the Eamon provides automatic security lighting without requiring manual switching. The PIR sensitivity, hold-on time and ambient light threshold are all adjustable via controls on the sensor housing, allowing the light to be set for 10 seconds to 5 minutes hold-on and to activate only when ambient light drops below a chosen lux level (10 lux to daylight). The IP44 rating protects against splashing water and solid objects over 1mm, making it suitable for sheltered outdoor positions.
The polycarbonate body resists corrosion from salt spray and coastal air, making it appropriate for installations near the sea where metal fittings would corrode faster. The black finish is powder-coated onto the polycarbonate and rated for outdoor UV exposure. At 160mm height and 100mm projection from the wall, the Eamon suits standard porch heights and narrow passageways where a larger fitting would intrude into the walkway. The Class II double-insulated construction means no earth wire is required during installation.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Eamon take?
The fitting takes a single GU10 LED bulb with a maximum rating of 5W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white GU10 LED between 3W-5W and 3000K for porch and entrance lighting.
Can the PIR sensor be adjusted?
Yes. The hold-on time is adjustable from 10 seconds to 5 minutes, and the ambient light threshold can be set from 10 lux to daylight activation. Controls are accessed on the sensor housing once the fitting is installed.
Is it suitable for coastal areas?
The polycarbonate construction resists corrosion from salt spray and coastal air better than metal fittings, making it appropriate for seaside installations. The IP44 rating protects against splashing water but not direct exposure to driving rain or submersion.
What's the detection range of the PIR?
The PIR sensor detects motion within a 110-degree arc up to 12m from the fitting. Actual range depends on the size of the moving object, ambient temperature and mounting height.
