Description

The Eamon is a compact IP54-rated outdoor wall light in anthracite polycarbonate with a single downward-facing GU10 socket. The 60mm diameter cylindrical body projects 88mm from the wall and casts a focused beam of light directly downward through a clear polycarbonate lens. The fitting takes a GU10 LED bulb up to 5W (sold separately).

Designed for external wall installation on porches, garage entrances, garden walls and pathways, the Eamon provides directional task lighting rather than ambient wash. The IP54 rating protects the internal components from dust and water spray, making the fitting suitable for exposed coastal installations where salt corrosion affects metal housings. The polycarbonate construction resists impact damage and weathering without requiring ongoing maintenance.

The anthracite finish is a dark charcoal grey with a low-sheen matt surface that absorbs rather than reflects daylight. The fitting installs via a circular backplate using standard UK wall fixings and connects to mains voltage (230V 50Hz). Class II double-insulated construction means no earth connection is required during installation. Dimming depends on the GU10 bulb chosen — pair with a dimmable LED and compatible dimmer for variable output.

The Eamon range includes matching up/down wall lights and spike lights in anthracite, black, grey and white finishes, allowing consistent styling across multiple external positions. The compact 125mm height suits domestic-scale exteriors without dominating the wall surface.

The fitting takes a GU10 LED bulb up to 5W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use a 3-5W warm white GU10 LED at 2700K-3000K for porch or pathway lighting.

Is it suitable for coastal areas?

Yes. The polycarbonate construction resists salt corrosion better than aluminium or steel housings, making the Eamon suitable for coastal and marine environments where metal fittings deteriorate rapidly.

What does IP54 mean?

IP54 means the fitting is protected from dust ingress (5) and water spray from any direction (4). It is suitable for external wall mounting in exposed positions but not for direct ground burial or submersion.

Is the Eamon dimmable?

Dimming depends on the GU10 bulb you install. If you pair the fitting with a dimmable GU10 LED and a compatible mains dimmer, the light output is variable. Non-dimmable GU10 bulbs operate at fixed output only.
