E40 Corn LED Bulb 38W 7500lm IP65 - Cool White

The E40 Corn LED Bulb is a high-output cluster lamp built for high-bay and commercial fittings. It draws 38 W of its own and replaces an old 402 W bulb, putting out 7500 lumens at 4000K cool white from a wide 320° spread. The large E40 Goliath Edison Screw cap is the heavy-duty screw fitting used in industrial and warehouse luminaires, so it threads straight into the kind of high-bay holder you would otherwise fit a metal-halide or SON lamp into. In US terms the E40 is the mogul-base screw cap, and the corn-cob arrangement of diodes around the body is what gives the lamp its near-360° output rather than the directional throw of a spotlight.

Output at this level suits warehouses, factory units, workshops, loading bays, car parks and large stores where a single high-mounted lamp needs to cover a wide working area. The 320° beam and 7500 lumens mean the light washes outward and down across a broad floor zone rather than focusing into one tight pool, which is why corn lamps are used to retrofit older high-bay and bulkhead fittings without leaving dark patches. Because it is not ambient room lighting it is better judged on coverage and mounting height than on a desk-lux figure, and the high efficiency of 197 lm/W keeps running cost down across long operating hours.

The lamp runs on 220 to 240 V AC and measures Ø46 by 207 mm at 146 g, with an IP65 rating that makes it suitable for exposed outdoor and wet locations as well as dusty industrial interiors. Colour rendering is Ra 70 and rated life is 25,000 hours. It is a non-dimmable lamp on a fixed cool white output, with visible LED filaments behind clear glass for a bright, open look. Which fitting do I need for this bulb?

It has an E40 Goliath Edison Screw cap, the large heavy-duty screw base used in industrial high-bay, bulkhead and street-style luminaires. It is bigger than the common E27 Edison Screw, so the holder must be an E40. It will not fit a standard domestic E27 or E14 socket.
