E40 Corn LED Bulb 36W IP65 - Cool White

The E40 Corn LED Bulb is a high-output cluster lamp built for commercial and high-bay duty. It draws just 36W yet pushes out 6000 lumens at 4000K cool white, giving a bright, neutral light with good colour accuracy at CRI Ra 80. The E40 cap is the large Goliath Edison Screw, so this is a sizeable upgrade lamp rather than a household fitting. Across the Atlantic this kind of large screw-base output bulb is the standard retrofit for warehouse and bay sockets, and at 36W it stands in for an old 327W bulb of the same brightness while running on a fraction of the power. A wide 320 degree beam spreads light almost all the way around the lamp.

Its natural home is high spaces and working areas: warehouses, workshops, loading bays, car parks, storerooms and covered industrial yards where a single high-lumen source needs to throw light over a wide floor. Because the output radiates through 320 degrees rather than in a tight cone, one lamp lights a broad area beneath it rather than a single spot, which suits open bays and aisles. With an IP65 rating it copes with exposed outdoor and wet positions as well as dusty interiors, so it works equally for sheltered yard lighting and damp utility rooms. The 4000K tone keeps signage, stock and machinery looking true.

The lamp uses visible LED filaments behind clear glass for a clean, open look, measures 90mm across by 230mm long and weighs 184g. It runs on 220 to 240V AC mains and is rated for 25,000 hours of service. The IP65 sealed body keeps out dust and water jets, and efficiency runs to 167 lumens per watt. This bulb is non-dimmable, so pair it with a standard on/off circuit rather than a dimmer. The finish is white.

What fitting does this bulb need?

It uses an E40 cap, the large Goliath Edison Screw found in high-bay and industrial fittings. This is the bigger screw base, not the standard E27, so check your existing holder takes E40 before ordering.

What wattage does it replace?

The lamp draws only 36W but produces 6000 lumens, matching the brightness of an old 327W bulb. You get the same light output for roughly a tenth of the energy use.

Can it be used outdoors or in wet areas?

Yes. It carries an IP65 rating, which means it is protected against dust and water jets and is suitable for exposed outdoor and wet locations. That makes it fine for covered yards, damp utility spaces and similar working environments.

Is this bulb dimmable?

No, this is a non-dimmable lamp. Run it on a standard on/off switch or circuit rather than a dimmer, as fitting it to a dimmer can cause flicker or shorten its life.
