This E27 LED bulb takes the compact G45 golf ball shape, a small rounded lamp that suits fittings where a full-size GLS bulb would look bulky. It draws just 6W while putting out 810 lumens, with visible LED filaments behind clear glass for the vintage look people associate with old incandescent lamps. The tone is a 2700K warm white, the soft yellow-leaning light that reads as cosy rather than clinical, and the wide 320° beam angle spreads light almost all the way around the bulb. The E27 cap is the standard Edison Screw fitting (an A60/A19 household screw size in US terms), so it drops straight into the majority of screw-fit pendants, lamps and chandeliers.

Because of its small footprint, this golf ball lamp works well in wall lights, bedside and table lamps, multi-arm chandeliers and decorative pendants where the bulb itself is on show. Which fitting does this bulb need?

It has an E27 cap, also known as Edison Screw or ES, which is the larger of the two common screw fittings. It twists straight into any standard E27 pendant, lamp or chandelier holder. The small G45 golf ball body keeps it neat in fittings where the bulb is visible.

What old bulb wattage does it replace?

This is a 6W LED that replaces a 60W traditional incandescent golf ball bulb. The LED itself only draws 6W from the mains, so you get a similar 810 lumens of light for far less energy. Rated at 10,000 hours, it also lasts much longer than the old filament lamp it replaces.

No, this is a non-dimmable bulb, so it should be used on a standard on/off circuit rather than a dimmer switch. Fitting it to a dimmer can cause flicker or shorten its life. If you need dimming, choose a lamp specifically rated as dimmable.
