Description
This golf ball LED bulb takes the popular E27 Edison Screw (ES) cap and draws just 6W while putting out 810 lumens, enough to stand in for an old 60W incandescent. The small round G45 shape keeps it compact in fittings where a full GLS bulb would look bulky, and the 4000K cool white tone gives a clean, neutral light. American buyers will recognise the E27 as the standard medium screw base. A wide 320 degree beam angle spreads the light evenly rather than throwing it in one direction.
The visible LED filaments behind the clear glass give this bulb a vintage look that suits exposed pendants, wall brackets and open shades where the bulb is on show. It works well in living rooms, hallways, landings and dining areas, and the cool white tone keeps task corners and reading nooks crisp rather than yellow. Because the filament design lets light out across the full envelope, it lights a space broadly rather than spotlighting one point, so a single bulb covers a small fitting and a cluster suits a larger pendant. This is an indoor bulb rated IP20, so keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any outdoor or damp position.
The bulb measures Ø45 by 78 mm and weighs only 18g, with a white finish to the cap and clear glass over the filaments. It runs on 220 to 240V AC mains direct through the E27 thread, with no transformer needed, and delivers an efficiency of 135 lm/W with a CRI of Ra 80 for natural colour. This is a non-dimmable bulb, so pair it with a standard on or off switch rather than a dimmer. Rated for 10,000 hours of use, it is one of several caps and shapes in our E27 filament range.

Frequently Asked
Which fitting does this bulb need?
It uses an E27 Edison Screw (ES) cap, the standard large screw fitting found on many pendants, lamps and wall lights. American buyers will know this as the medium screw base. Simply screw it into any E27 holder rated for 220 to 240V AC mains.
What old bulb wattage does it replace?
The LED itself draws only 6W but produces 810 lumens, which matches the brightness of a traditional 60W incandescent golf ball bulb. You get the same light output for a fraction of the energy. The 6W figure is the actual power it consumes, not the equivalent rating.
Can this bulb be dimmed?
No, this is a non-dimmable bulb, so it should be used with a standard on or off switch. Fitting it to a dimmer circuit may cause flicker or buzzing and can shorten its life. If you need dimming, choose a bulb listed as dimmable instead.
What does the 4000K cool white tone look like?
At 4000K this bulb gives a clean, neutral cool white light, brighter and crisper than warm white without tipping into a blue daylight tone. It suits kitchens, hallways and task areas where clear visibility matters. The visible filaments still give it the vintage look while the colour stays neutral.
