Description
This E27 GLS LED bulb takes the classic rounded A60 household shape, so it fits the same lamps and fittings as the traditional bulbs it stands in for. The E27 cap is the standard Edison Screw (ES) fitting, known in the US as a medium screw base. It draws just 9.5 watts while giving out 1050 lumens, which is enough to replace an old 74 watt bulb on a like-for-like basis. The colour temperature is 4000K cool white, a crisp, neutral tone, and the wide 180 degree beam angle spreads the light evenly rather than throwing it in one direction.
The neutral 4000K output suits kitchens, home offices, utility rooms and hallways where a clean, alert light is wanted rather than a soft yellow glow. Because the beam spreads across a full 180 degrees, the light fills a pendant shade, table lamp or open batten fitting without leaving dark patches, and a single bulb covers a small room or working corner comfortably. It is an indoor bulb only, rated IP20, so keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any damp or outdoor positions. The Ra 80 colour rendering keeps everyday colours looking natural under the cooler tone.
The bulb measures 60 mm across and 109 mm long and weighs only 34 grams, so it sits within standard shades and fittings without adding bulk. It runs on 220 to 240 volt AC mains direct from the E27 holder, with no transformer or driver needed, and reaches an efficiency of 111 lumens per watt over a rated 15,000 hour life. This is a non-dimmable bulb, so pair it with a standard on/off switch rather than a dimmer. The body is finished in white. The wider E27 GLS LED range also includes warm white and other wattage options to match the rest of a home.

Frequently Asked
Which fitting does this bulb need?
It has an E27 cap, the standard Edison Screw (ES) fitting, known in the US as a medium screw base. It screws straight into any E27 holder and replaces an old screw-fit bulb of the same size.
What old bulb wattage does it replace?
The LED itself draws only 9.5 watts but produces 1050 lumens, which matches the light from an old 74 watt bulb. You get the same brightness for a fraction of the energy use.
Is this bulb dimmable?
No, this is a non-dimmable bulb. Use it with a standard on/off switch rather than a dimmer, as fitting it to a dimmer circuit can cause flicker or buzzing.
Is the 4000K cool white right for my room?
4000K is a crisp, neutral cool white, brighter and more alert than warm white, which suits kitchens, offices, utility rooms and hallways. For bedrooms or living rooms where a softer glow is preferred, a warm white version in the range may suit better.
