Description
This E27 GLS LED bulb takes the classic rounded A60 household shape and fits a standard Edison Screw (ES) cap, the same fitting US buyers know as a medium-base light bulb in the A19 GLS profile. It draws just 8 W while putting out 1055 lumens, so it stands in for an old 75 W incandescent at a fraction of the running cost. The light is a crisp 4000K cool white, spread through a wide 320 degree beam angle for an even, all-round glow rather than a tight directional spot.
Use it anywhere a familiar pear-shaped bulb suits the fitting, from pendants and table lamps to wall and ceiling lights across living rooms, kitchens, hallways and landings. The 1055 lumen output and broad 320 degree spread give a bright, general light that fills a room evenly rather than pooling in one direction, which makes it a sensible choice for open shades and exposed fittings where the bulb is on show. As an IP20 bulb it is rated for dry indoor use only, so keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any outdoor or damp location.
The bulb uses visible LED filaments behind clear glass for a vintage, exposed-element look that works well in open and decorative fittings. It runs on 220 to 240 V AC mains, returns a useful 132 lm/W efficiency and is rated to Ra 80 for natural colour rendering, with a 15,000 hour rated lifespan. Measuring 60 mm across and 105 mm long at 34 g, it is a like-for-like swap for a standard GLS bulb. Please note this bulb is non-dimmable, so pair it with a plain on/off switch. We stock this E27 filament range in other wattages and tones to match across a room.

Frequently Asked
Which fitting does this bulb need?
It has an E27 cap, also called Edison Screw or ES, which is the larger of the two common screw fittings. It screws straight into any standard E27 holder found on most pendants, lamps and ceiling fittings. The classic A60 GLS shape means it sits in open shades just like a traditional bulb.
What old bulb wattage does it replace?
At 8 W actual draw it produces 1055 lumens, which is enough to replace a 75 W incandescent bulb. You get the same bright, general light while using a fraction of the power. The LED itself only ever draws 8 W; the 75 W figure is the old-bulb equivalence, not its consumption.
Is this a warm or cool light?
It is a 4000K cool white, a clean and neutral tone that sits between cosy warm white and bright daylight. This suits kitchens, hallways, work areas and any space where you want clear, crisp light. The Ra 80 colour rendering keeps colours looking natural under it.
Can this bulb be dimmed?
No, this is a non-dimmable bulb, so it should be used on a standard on/off switch rather than a dimmer circuit. Fitting a non-dimmable LED to a dimmer can cause flicker or buzzing and may shorten its life. It is rated to last around 15,000 hours in normal use.
