Description
This E27 GLS LED bulb takes the classic A60 household shape, the familiar rounded form that drops into table lamps, pendants and open ceiling fittings. It draws just 5W while delivering 1055 lumens at 4000K cool white, a clean, neutral tone that reads bright and crisp rather than yellow. The cap is the standard E27 Edison Screw, known in the trade as ES, so it threads straight into the most common large screw socket. The wide 320 degree beam angle spreads light almost all the way around the bulb, which is why it works well where the lamp is on show.
On the older incandescent scale a 5W draw like this stands in for a 75W bulb, so it covers the same brightness duty for a fraction of the running cost. It suits living room and bedroom lamps, hallway pendants and any open fitting where the bulb is visible, since the clear glass and visible LED filaments give it a vintage look while the cool white output keeps reading areas and kitchens feeling alert. With a near-all-round 320 degree spread it lights a room evenly rather than throwing a single directional beam, so it is a general ambient bulb rather than a spotlight. It is rated for dry indoor use only, so keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any damp or outdoor spot.
The filament construction uses slim LED strands inside clear transparent glass, giving the warm visual character of an old wire-filament lamp with modern efficiency at 211 lm/W. It measures Ø60 by 109 mm and weighs 36 g, so it sits within the proportions of a traditional GLS bulb. The bulb runs on 220 to 240V AC mains direct from the E27 socket and is non-dimmable, so pair it with a standard on/off switch. Rated at 50,000 hours, it is one of several caps and shapes in our wider LED bulb range.

Frequently Asked
Which fitting does this bulb need?
It has an E27 Edison Screw cap, also called ES, which is the larger of the two common screw fittings. It threads into any standard E27 socket found on many table lamps, pendants and ceiling fittings. Check that your fitting is screw type rather than a bayonet push-and-twist cap.
What old bulb wattage does it replace?
The bulb itself draws only 5W but produces 1055 lumens, which matches the brightness of an old 75W incandescent bulb. You get the same light output for a fraction of the energy use. The equivalent figure refers to brightness only, not the actual power drawn.
Is this bulb dimmable?
No, this is a non-dimmable bulb, so it should be used with a standard on/off switch rather than a dimmer. Fitting it to a dimmer circuit can cause flicker or buzzing and may shorten its life. If you need adjustable brightness, choose a bulb listed as dimmable.
What does the cool white colour and filament style look like?
It runs at 4000K cool white, a clean neutral tone that sits between warm yellow and bright daylight, which keeps spaces looking crisp and alert. The clear transparent glass shows off the visible LED filaments for a vintage look, so it works well in open fittings where the bulb is on display.
