Description
This E27 LED bulb takes the classic A60 GLS shape, the familiar rounded household form, on an E27 Edison Screw (ES) cap. It draws just 4.5 W while giving 470 lumens, replacing an old 40 W bulb at a fraction of the energy. The light is a 4000K cool white with an Ra 80 colour rendering, and a wide 320 degree beam angle that spreads light around the room rather than in one direction. In US terms this is the standard A19 screw-base filament lamp.
Inside the clear glass sit visible LED filaments, giving the vintage look of an exposed-filament lamp while running on modern LED. That makes it well suited to open fittings where the bulb is on show, such as pendants, exposed-cable fittings and pared-back fixtures in living rooms, kitchens, hallways and dining areas. The cool white tone keeps spaces feeling crisp and bright, and the wide beam means a single bulb lights a small to medium room evenly rather than throwing a tight pool. As an IP20 lamp it is for dry indoor use only, so keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any outdoor or damp spot.
Built around an A60 envelope in transparent glass on a standard E27 cap, the bulb measures 60 mm across and 108 mm long and weighs 30 g. It runs on 220 to 240 V AC mains at an efficiency of 104 lm/W, with a rated lifespan of 15,000 hours. This is a non-dimmable bulb, so pair it with a standard on or off switch rather than a dimmer. We stock the wider E27 filament range in matching shapes and outputs.

Frequently Asked
Which fitting does this bulb use?
It has an E27 Edison Screw (ES) cap, the larger screw fitting found on many pendants and ceiling fixtures. The A60 GLS shape matches a classic household bulb, so it fits in place of a standard E27 lamp.
What old bulb wattage does it replace?
The LED itself draws only 4.5 W but gives 470 lumens, which is the brightness of a 40 W old bulb. You get the same light output for a small fraction of the energy use.
Is this bulb dimmable?
No, this is a non-dimmable bulb. Use it with a standard on or off switch and avoid pairing it with a dimmer, as that can cause flicker or shorten its life.
What does cool white look like in a room?
At 4000K it gives a clean, neutral cool white that keeps a space looking crisp and bright. With an Ra 80 colour rendering it shows colours fairly and naturally, which suits kitchens, hallways and work areas.
