This E27 GLS LED bulb takes the classic rounded A60 household shape and screws into a standard Edison Screw (ES) socket, the most common UK fitting for lamps, pendants and ceiling roses. Across the Atlantic the same shape is the familiar A19 household bulb on a medium screw base, so it suits buyers used to either naming. It draws just 13.6 W yet puts out 1521 lumens of 2700K warm white light, a soft, settled tone that replaces an old 100 W incandescent bulb while using a fraction of the power. A wide 220° beam angle spreads the light broadly rather than throwing it in one direction.

Because the light is emitted over a generous 220° spread, this bulb works well as the main source in open shades, glass pendants and table or floor lamps where light needs to fill the fitting and the surrounding space evenly. The warm 2700K tone reads as relaxed and homely, which makes it a good fit for living rooms, bedrooms, dining areas and hallways rather than cooler task spaces. Being dimmable, it lets you drop the output for evening ambience or bring it up to its full 1521 lumens when more light is needed. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use, so keep it to interior fittings and away from bathrooms, porches and any exposed or damp location.

The bulb measures Ø60 by 120 mm and weighs only 70 g, so it fits comfortably in most standard E27 fittings. It runs on 220 to 240 V AC mains with no separate driver or transformer needed, and reaches an efficiency of 112 lm/W. Colour rendering is Ra 80, giving natural enough colour for everyday rooms, and the rated lifespan is 25,000 hours. The finish is a clean white diffused body. Which fitting does this bulb need?

It has an E27 Edison Screw (ES) cap, the larger screw fitting found on most UK pendants, lamps and ceiling fittings. In the US the equivalent is the medium screw base. If your existing bulb screws in with a twist rather than pushing and turning, this will fit.

What old bulb wattage does it replace?

The bulb draws only 13.6 W but produces 1521 lumens, which is the brightness of a traditional 100 W incandescent bulb. You get the same light output for far less energy. The bulb itself never draws anywhere near 100 W.

Is this bulb dimmable?

Yes, it is dimmable, so you can lower the output for relaxed evening lighting or set it to full 1521 lumens when you need more. For smooth, flicker-free dimming use a compatible LED dimmer switch.

Is it warm or cool white?

It is 2700K warm white, a soft and homely tone that suits living rooms, bedrooms and dining spaces. It is the closest match to the warm glow of an old incandescent bulb rather than a crisp cool or daylight white.
