Description

Ours is a decorative bulb in the classic style, cut to a diamond form so the facets pick up light along their edges instead of showing one flat face. The amber finish warms everything that passes through it, and at 2100K the glow sits closer to a candle than to daylight. It draws 4W, screws into any E27 lampholder, and dims down smoothly when it is paired with a compatible dimmer. We stock it as a bulb meant to be looked at rather than hidden behind a shade.

We reach for a bulb like this wherever the glass itself is on show: open pendants, cage frames, a bare flex over a kitchen island, a lantern with clear panes. It suits dining rooms, snugs, bars and hallways, and anywhere you want mood before brightness. The light it gives is gentle rather than working light, so we would run it alongside a brighter source in a kitchen or a study, and let it do the atmosphere on its own over a table late in the evening. Fitted to a table lamp with an open frame, it reads as ornament as much as light.

The amber tint runs right through the diamond, so the colour stays consistent whether the bulb is lit or resting. Cleaning asks very little: switch off at the wall, wait until the glass is cold to the touch, then run a dry cloth over the facets, keeping sprays and damp away from the cap. It carries a three year warranty. A suitable dimmer is needed if you want to dim it, and no dimmer comes in the box.
