This is a golf ball LED with an E27 screw cap, the larger of the two screw fittings used on lamps and pendants in the UK. It draws 4.2W and gives 470 lumens at 6500K, a daylight white that reads crisp and slightly blue next to the yellower light of an older filament bulb. The pack rates it as a 40W replacement. The frosted envelope sits over the diode so the bulb reads as a plain white ball rather than a cluster of bright points, which matters in an open shade or a clear glass fitting where the lamp itself is on show.

A golf ball is the shape to reach for when the fitting is small and a standard GLS bulb would sit proud of the shade. E27 is the larger screw cap, roughly 27mm across the thread. Unscrew the old bulb and compare it: the smaller screw cap, E14, is noticeably narrower and will not thread into an E27 holder.
