Description
This E27 LED bulb takes the ST64 teardrop form, a slightly elongated take on the classic household shape, with visible LED filaments behind clear glass for a vintage glow. It draws just 7W yet stands in for an old 55W bulb, putting out 725 lumens at a warm 2500K. In US terms the E27 cap is the standard Edison Screw fitting, so it twists straight into the most common screw lampholders. The wide 320° beam scatters light almost all the way around the bulb, which suits the exposed-fitting look where the lamp itself is part of the display.
Because the filaments are on show, this bulb earns its place in open pendants, bare-flex fittings, wall brackets and table lamps where the glass is meant to be seen rather than hidden behind a shade. The warm 2500K tone reads softer and more amber than a standard warm white, so it leans towards relaxed living rooms, dining corners, snugs and hospitality settings rather than bright task work. With 725 lumens it gives a gentle, atmospheric pool of light rather than broad room coverage, so cluster several across a fitting or pair it with other sources where you need more brightness. As an IP20 lamp it is for dry indoor use only and should be kept clear of bathrooms, porches and any damp or outdoor spot.
The bulb measures Ø64 by 142 mm and weighs 42 g, with an amber-tinted clear glass envelope over the ST64 filament array and a Ra 80 colour rendering that keeps everyday tones looking natural. Efficiency runs to 104 lm/W and the rated lifespan is 15,000 hours. It is fully dimmable, so on a compatible trailing-edge dimmer you can wind the output down for a lower, cosier setting. It runs on 220 to 240V AC mains direct from the lampholder, with no separate driver needed.

Frequently Asked
What fitting does this bulb need?
It has an E27 cap, also called Edison Screw or ES, which is the larger of the two common screw fittings. It twists straight into any standard E27 lampholder. There is no adaptor needed for the most common pendants and table lamps.
What old bulb wattage does it replace?
The LED itself draws only 7W but produces 725 lumens, which stands in for an old 55W incandescent bulb. You get the familiar brightness for a fraction of the running cost. The rated lifespan is 15,000 hours.
Is this bulb dimmable?
Yes, it is fully dimmable. Pair it with a compatible LED dimmer, ideally a trailing-edge type, to wind the light down to a softer level. Check your dimmer is rated for LED loads to avoid flicker at the lower end.
Why does it look amber and is the colour warm?
The clear amber-tinted glass shows off the visible LED filaments for a vintage look, and the 2500K colour temperature gives a soft, warm glow that is cosier than standard warm white. It suits relaxed living and dining spaces. The Ra 80 rendering keeps everyday colours looking natural.
