Description

A long, slender tube of clear glass on a small screw cap, this is a lamp made to be looked at rather than tucked away. It stands 280mm tall and holds the same narrow width all the way up, with the light running the length of the tube so it reads as a bright line rather than a single point. It draws 6W and gives a crisp, neutral white at 4000K. It is dimmable, though it needs a dimmer rated for LED to behave properly.

Clear glass hides nothing, so this one belongs in fittings where the lamp is part of the look: open lanterns, wall lights with upturned holders, slim pendants over a worktop, mirror lights beside a shelf. We would choose it where a round golf ball lamp looks too stubby and a candle lamp too short, and we like a row of them in a multi-arm fitting where the vertical lines repeat. The cooler white suits kitchens, home offices and dressing areas, anywhere you want the light to feel awake rather than mellow. It runs on ordinary household mains indoors.

The tube is glass and the cap is a small Edison screw, E14, the fitting used on chandeliers, wall brackets and smaller pendants.
