Description

This LED candle bulb pairs a gold tinted glass envelope with two straight filament strips set up the middle, so there is something to look at when the light is off as well as on. It draws 2.5W and gives 200 lumens, which the retail pack calls a 25W replacement. The cap is E14, the small screw fitting usually written as SES. The colour sits at the warm end: the manufacturer's specification gives 1,950K while the pack prints 2700K, so treat it as a warm, slightly amber light rather than a neutral white.

A gold glass bulb is meant to be seen, so it suits a fitting that leaves the glass uncovered: a chandelier with upward candle holders, a pendant cluster over a dining table, a wall light with an open shade, or a bedside lamp. At 200 lumens the output is soft on its own, close to an old 25W candle lamp, so it works best where several lamps share the work or where a brighter source nearby handles reading. On a landing or in a hallway, one or two give enough gentle light for the evening.

The pack marks the lamp as non dimmable, so put it on a plain on and off switch; on a dimmer circuit a non dimmable lamp can flicker, buzz or fail early.
