Description
This E14 LED bulb takes the small round G45 golf ball shape, a compact alternative to a full-size household bulb that suits smaller fittings and exposed multi-arm fixtures. It draws just 4.9W while producing 470 lumens, giving the light output you would expect from an old 40W bulb at a fraction of the running power. The light is a warm white 3000K tone with a wide 160 degree beam angle, so it spreads evenly rather than throwing a narrow spot. The E14 cap is the Small Edison Screw fitting, known in the UK as SES and broadly equivalent to the US candelabra size, though that standard is usually E12, so check the holder before ordering.
Its small G45 body makes it a natural fit for chandeliers, wall brackets, picture lights, bedside lamps and decorative pendants where a larger bulb would look out of place or simply not fit. The warm 3000K tone and Ra 80 colour rendering give a relaxed, comfortable light that works well in living rooms, bedrooms and hallways. At 470 lumens it is a low to moderate output suited to accent and ambient use or to multi-lamp fittings where several bulbs share the load, rather than as a single source for a large room. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only, so keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any outdoor or damp location.
The bulb has a clean white finish over the G45 envelope and weighs only 16g, measuring 82 by 45 by 82 mm. It runs on 220 to 240V AC mains direct through the E14 cap, with an efficiency of 96 lm/W and a rated lifespan of 15,000 hours. Please note this bulb is non-dimmable, so it should be used on a standard switched circuit rather than a dimmer. We also stock E27 and other E14 shapes across the range if you need to match fittings.

Frequently Asked
What fitting does this bulb need?
It uses an E14 cap, the Small Edison Screw or SES fitting found on many smaller lamps, chandeliers and wall lights. Check that your holder is E14 rather than the larger E27 before ordering, as the two are not interchangeable.
What wattage bulb does it replace?
The LED itself draws only 4.9W but produces 470 lumens, which matches the brightness of a traditional 40W incandescent golf ball bulb. You get the same level of light for far less energy and a 15,000 hour rated lifespan.
Is this bulb dimmable?
No, this is a non-dimmable bulb. It should be used on a standard switched circuit, as fitting it to a dimmer can cause flicker or shorten its life.
Is the light warm or cool?
It gives a warm white 3000K tone, a soft and relaxed light that suits living rooms, bedrooms and hallways. With a Ra 80 colour rendering and a wide 160 degree beam, it spreads light evenly rather than as a narrow spot.
