Description
This E14 LED bulb takes the classic C35 candle shape, with a tapered flame-style body that suits chandeliers, wall brackets and pendant fittings. It draws just 4.9 W yet gives out 470 lumens, replacing a 40 W old bulb for the same brightness on a fraction of the power. The cap is E14 Small Edison Screw (SES), the small twist-in fitting US buyers know as the candelabra base. Light is a 4000K cool white, a crisp neutral tone, spread through a wide 200 degree beam.
The wide beam and candle form make it a good fit for multi-arm chandeliers and ceiling fittings where several bulbs share the load, as well as single wall lights and table lamps in living rooms, hallways and bedrooms. The cool white 4000K tone reads cleaner and brighter than warm white, which works well in kitchens, studies and task corners where you want clear, neutral light rather than a soft glow. With 470 lumens from one bulb, it gives a bright, even spread across a small fitting or a useful contribution within a larger cluster. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only.
The bulb measures Ø35 by 103 mm and weighs 16 g, running on 220 to 240 V AC mains at 96 lm/W for low running costs. It has a colour rendering of Ra 80, a rated lifespan of 15,000 hours, and is non-dimmable, so pair it with a standard on/off switch rather than a dimmer. The finish is white. This bulb sits in our wider range of E14 candle lamps in several wattages and tones.

Frequently Asked
Which fitting does this bulb need?
It has an E14 Small Edison Screw (SES) cap, the smaller screw-in fitting common on chandeliers, wall lights and candle lamps. In the US this is referred to as the candelabra base. Check that your fitting takes E14 rather than the larger E27.
What old bulb wattage does it replace?
It draws only 4.9 W but gives 470 lumens, which matches the brightness of a traditional 40 W incandescent candle bulb. You get the same light for far less power. The bulb itself never draws the 40 W figure, only the 4.9 W.
Is this bulb dimmable?
No, this bulb is non-dimmable. Use it with a standard on/off switch and avoid wiring it to a dimmer circuit, as that can cause flicker or shorten its life. The rated lifespan is 15,000 hours.
Is the light warm or cool?
It is a 4000K cool white, a crisp neutral tone that sits between soft warm white and bright daylight. This suits kitchens, studies and task areas where you want clear, even light. The colour rendering is Ra 80.
