These are C size alkaline cells from the Duracell Plus range, supplied two to a pack. C is the mid-large cylindrical size, taller and wider than an AA, and it carries the international code LR14 alongside the older Duracell reference MN1400. Both codes are printed on the pack, so you can match them straight against the marking moulded inside your battery compartment. Each cell gives the standard 1.5V of an alkaline LR14. Alkaline chemistry is the everyday workhorse for household kit: it holds a steady voltage under moderate drain and sits happily in a drawer between uses.

C cells turn up in the bulkier things around the house rather than the slim ones.
