Description

The Duceri is a 6W LED emergency twin spot with two independently adjustable LED heads mounted on a black powder-coated steel body. Each head houses a 3W 5500K LED behind a clear polycarbonate lens, providing high-visibility emergency illumination when mains power fails. The unit operates in non-maintained mode, meaning the LEDs remain off during normal mains operation and activate automatically during a power outage.

Designed for commercial, retail and public building compliance with BS 5266 emergency lighting standards, the Duceri suits corridors, stairwells, exit routes and open-plan areas where directional emergency lighting is required. The twin adjustable heads allow each beam to be aimed at different points along an escape route or to illuminate both sides of a doorway. The IP40 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments only.

The integral lithium battery provides up to 3 hours of emergency runtime on a full charge, with automatic trickle charging from mains power when the unit is wired in. The black steel housing measures 285mm wide by 305mm tall with a 95mm projection, giving a compact wall-mount presence that sits above door frames or on corridor walls without obtrusive bulk. The unit includes a test button on the front panel for manual discharge testing during routine maintenance inspections.

What does non-maintained mean?

Non-maintained emergency lights remain off during normal mains operation and only illuminate when mains power fails. This differs from maintained emergency lights, which stay lit constantly and continue on battery backup during outages. Non-maintained units are the standard for most UK commercial and public buildings.

How long does the battery last during an outage?

The lithium battery provides up to 3 hours of continuous illumination from the two LED heads when fully charged. The battery recharges automatically from mains power when the unit is wired in.

Can it be used outdoors or in bathrooms?

No. The IP40 rating provides protection against solid objects larger than 1mm but offers no moisture protection. The Duceri is suitable only for dry indoor environments such as corridors, stairwells and office spaces.

How are the heads adjusted?

Each LED head pivots on a ball-and-socket mount, allowing vertical and horizontal aiming. Once positioned, the heads hold their angle without slipping. This allows one head to illuminate a doorway while the other lights a corridor section, or both to aim along an escape route.
