Description
The Duceri 3W LED emergency exit box is a wall-mounted self-test emergency exit sign with a down arrow legend, housed in a white-finished steel case measuring 390 x 190 x 60mm. The sign uses SMD 2835 LED lamps at 5500K colour temperature, providing a bright white light visible up to 25 metres in an emergency.
Designed for commercial, industrial and public buildings where Building Regulations require clearly marked emergency exit routes, the Duceri exit box operates in maintained or non-maintained mode. In maintained mode, the sign stays illuminated continuously during normal operation and switches to battery power on mains failure. In non-maintained mode, the sign only illuminates when mains power fails. The self-test function automatically checks the battery and LED function at regular intervals, reducing manual inspection workload and ensuring compliance with BS EN 62034 standards.
The 3.6V 1500mAh Ni-Cd battery provides a minimum 3-hour emergency duration when fully charged, meeting UK fire safety regulations for most building types. The charge and discharge protection circuitry prevents battery over-discharge, extending battery life. A green LED indicator on the front panel confirms mains power and battery health at a glance. The white steel housing resists corrosion in typical indoor environments and the down arrow legend directs occupants to stairwells, lower floors or downward-facing exit routes.

Frequently Asked
What does the self-test function do?
The self-test function automatically checks the battery charge level and LED operation at regular intervals without manual intervention. If a fault is detected, the green indicator changes state to alert the building manager. This reduces the need for monthly manual testing and ensures compliance with BS EN 62034 standards.
Can it operate in maintained or non-maintained mode?
Yes. In maintained mode, the sign stays lit continuously and switches to battery on mains failure. In non-maintained mode, the sign only lights when mains power fails. The mode is selected during installation by the electrician.
How long does the battery last in an emergency?
The 3.6V 1500mAh Ni-Cd battery provides a minimum 3-hour emergency duration when fully charged, meeting UK Building Regulations for most commercial and public buildings.
What's the viewing distance?
The sign is rated for a 25-metre viewing distance under typical lighting conditions, making it suitable for corridors, open-plan offices and medium-sized retail or industrial spaces.
