Description

The Duceri D120LWH is a 3W LED emergency exit sign with a left-running legend, housed in a 402mm white surface-mounted box. The sign operates in maintained mode, meaning the LED illuminates continuously on mains power and switches to lithium battery backup during power failure. The green running-man pictogram and left-pointing arrow direct building occupants to the nearest fire exit in compliance with UK building regulations and BS 5266-1.

Designed for commercial buildings, retail units, offices, schools and residential blocks, the Duceri exit sign surface-mounts onto walls or ceilings above exit routes and final exit doors. The 402mm x 204mm x 71mm box provides clear visibility from typical corridor distances without requiring a pendant or blade sign. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor environments including corridors, stairwells, entrance lobbies and general commercial spaces.

The integrated lithium battery provides backup power during mains failure, with typical emergency run-times specified in the product manual (see Downloads tab). The white powder-coated steel enclosure resists fading under constant LED exposure and the lens is impact-resistant polycarbonate. The 3W LED consumes minimal mains power in maintained operation compared to traditional fluorescent emergency signs, reducing running costs over the fitting's lifespan.

The left-pointing legend orients the sign for use where the exit route runs to the left of the sign position. ESP produces this sign in other legend configurations (right, up, down, no arrow) to cover all escape route directions within a building — use the search function to find alternative legends in stock.

Frequently Asked

What does maintained mode mean?

Maintained means the LED illuminates continuously while mains power is available, and switches to battery backup during power failure. This differs from non-maintained signs, which only illuminate when mains power is lost.

How long does the battery last during a power cut?

The lithium battery provides emergency backup for a duration specified in the product manual (see Downloads tab). Typical emergency exit signs provide 3 hours of battery run-time to comply with UK building regulations.

Can this sign be used in bathrooms or outdoor areas?

No. The IP20 rating means the sign is suitable for dry indoor environments only. For bathrooms, wet areas or outdoor applications, an IP65-rated emergency sign is required.

How is the sign mounted?

The sign surface-mounts to walls or ceilings using fixing points on the back of the enclosure. The product manual (see Downloads) provides full installation instructions including cable entry points and spacing for fixings.
