Description
The Duceri D120DWH is a 3W LED emergency exit sign with a down arrow legend, designed for surface mounting above doorways and escape routes where the exit path requires downward direction signage. The sign operates in maintained mode, meaning the LEDs remain illuminated during normal mains power and switch to the internal lithium battery during a power outage, providing continuous visibility at all times.
The 402mm-wide white housing is designed for commercial, retail, office and public building installation where Building Regulations Approved Document B requires illuminated emergency exit signage. The down arrow legend is visible from both sides of the sign through the green translucent panels, making it suitable for central corridor positions or above stairwells where the exit direction is downwards. Surface mounting via rear fixings allows the sign to be fitted directly to plaster, plasterboard or masonry ceilings and walls without recessing.
The internal lithium battery provides backup power during mains failure, with the battery life and recharge characteristics defined in the specification. The IP20 rating limits the sign to dry indoor environments only — bathrooms, outdoor canopies and wet areas require higher IP-rated alternatives. The white housing integrates with standard white or off-white ceiling finishes without requiring repainting, and the 3W LED lamp consumes minimal power during normal operation.

Frequently Asked
What does maintained mode mean?
Maintained mode means the LEDs are illuminated continuously during normal mains power operation. If mains power fails, the sign automatically switches to the internal lithium battery and remains lit. This differs from non-maintained signs, which only illuminate during a power outage.
What is the battery backup duration?
The lithium battery provides backup power during mains failure. See the datasheet in the Downloads section for the exact backup duration and recharge time for this model.
Can this be used outdoors or in wet areas?
No. The IP20 rating limits the sign to dry indoor environments only. Bathrooms, covered outdoor areas and anywhere exposed to moisture require a higher IP-rated emergency sign.
How is it mounted?
The sign is surface-mounted via rear fixings to ceilings or walls. It does not require recessing and can be fitted directly to plaster, plasterboard or masonry surfaces above doorways, stairwells or along escape routes.
