What bathroom zones can this shaver socket be installed in?

The IP41 rating means the socket is suitable for Zone 2 and outside zones in a bathroom, where it is protected from direct water spray. It must not be installed in Zone 0 (inside a bath or shower) or Zone 1 (directly above a bath or shower to a height of 2.25m). Consult BS 7671 or a qualified electrician for your specific bathroom layout.

What back box depth is required?

A minimum 47mm back box depth is needed to house the internal transformer and dual voltage mechanism. Standard 35mm back boxes are too shallow for shaver sockets.

Can this power a hairdryer or other high-wattage appliances?
