The Feiss Drawing Room is a 9-light chandelier built on a two-tier scrolled ironwork frame finished in walnut, with nine pressed glass bowl shades arranged in a 3+6 configuration. Each shade sits on a die-cast aluminium fitter detailed with a repeating geometric band that echoes Edwardian fretwork. The chandelier measures 946mm across and 1210mm in height before suspension, taking nine E27 bulbs up to 60W each (sold separately).

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and drawing rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the chandelier provides ambient light across a 3-4m table or 16-20m² floor area. The 2540mm chain allows the drop to be set between 1290mm minimum and 3830mm maximum on installation, letting the fitting be positioned 750-900mm above a dining table or scaled to double-height entrance halls. The walnut finish on the ironwork provides a mid-to-dark brown tone that pairs with traditional oak, mahogany and walnut furniture.

The scrollwork arms curve outward from a central stem, each terminating in an upward-facing glass shade. The pressed glass bowls show vertical fluting on the interior that diffuses light upward and outward when lit, softening the direct glare from filament-style bulbs. The geometric band on each aluminium fitter adds visual weight at the join between arm and shade, breaking up what would otherwise be a plain transition. At 946mm diameter the chandelier occupies significant ceiling space — it works in rooms of 4m width or above where the scale matches the architecture.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 1290mm means the chandelier works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above when hung over a dining table, allowing 750-900mm clearance above the table surface. Higher ceilings up to 5m can accommodate the maximum 3830mm drop for entrance halls or double-height spaces.

What bulbs does it take?

The chandelier takes nine E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, each up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-8W and 2700K for a soft ambient glow that complements the walnut finish.

Is it suitable for a standard dining room?

The 946mm diameter requires a room width of 4m or above to avoid the chandelier dominating the ceiling plane. It suits tables of 2-3m length and works best in period properties or homes with proportionally larger rooms.

Can the drop be adjusted after installation?

The chain length is set during installation. The 2540mm chain can be shortened or used at full length to achieve the required drop, but once the canopy is fixed and the excess chain concealed, the drop cannot be easily adjusted without re-opening the ceiling rose.
