Description
The Drawing Room is a 711mm-diameter six-light chandelier from Feiss with a walnut finish on die-cast aluminium arms and pressed glass shades. Each of the six arms curves outward in a scrolled bracket before rising to hold a pressed glass bowl shade with a decorative fretwork band at the base. The glass shades diffuse light from six E27 bulbs (sold separately) while the central column features a turned finial detail both above and below the arm cluster.
Designed for formal dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the chandelier provides general illumination across a 3-4m room from its six upward-facing light sources. The minimum drop of 890mm and adjustable chain length up to 2415mm allow the fitting to be set at the appropriate height for dining tables (typically 700-850mm above the table surface) or entrance halls where the bottom of the chandelier should clear head height by at least 200mm.
The pressed glass bowls show fluted vertical detailing that creates texture when lit, while the fretwork band at the base of each shade references Edwardian architectural ironwork. The walnut finish on the metalwork provides a mid-brown tone with subtle variation in the casting relief, giving depth to the scrollwork and turned details. At 810mm body height and 711mm width, the chandelier has presence without overwhelming rooms in the 12-16m² range.
The six scrolled arms radiate from a central column in balanced spacing, and the chain suspension allows the chandelier to hang level even on ceilings with minor unevenness. The walnut and glass combination suits traditional, country house and transitional interiors where wood tones are already present in furniture or flooring.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Drawing Room chandelier take?
The chandelier takes six E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, each rated up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining room use.
What ceiling height is needed?
The minimum drop of 890mm means the chandelier works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. For dining tables, the chandelier typically hangs 700-850mm above the table surface. For entrance halls, it should clear head height by at least 200mm.
Can the drop height be adjusted?
Yes, the drop is adjustable on installation via the chain suspension system. The maximum drop is 2415mm, allowing the chandelier to be set at the appropriate height for your specific ceiling and application.
Is the chandelier suitable for low ceilings?
With an 810mm body height and 890mm minimum drop, the Drawing Room is not suitable for standard 2.4m UK ceilings. It requires ceiling heights of 2.7m or above to achieve the correct proportions and clearance.
