Description

The Dralena is a white LED flush ceiling light built from two simple shapes: a slim ring crossed by a straight bar, both held close to the ceiling on a round canopy. It measures 40cm long, 30cm wide and 6.5cm high. The body is aluminium and steel finished in white. A white plastic diffuser runs along the ring and softens the integrated LEDs, which give 1,900 lumens from 17W. There are no bulbs to buy or change. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in dry rooms, and never in a bathroom or anywhere damp.

The colour temperature moves anywhere from a warm 2700K to a cool 6500K, and the light dims as well, so one fitting can carry a room through the whole day. Keep it warm and low for a quiet evening in the living room or bedroom. Then turn it cool and bright for reading, cooking or working at a desk in a home office or kitchen. The open ring and bar look crisp and graphic against a plain white ceiling. At only 6.5cm high it sits neatly in rooms with lower ceilings, on landings and in hallways where a hanging pendant would get in the way.

You control it with the remote control that comes in the box, so dimming and changing the colour temperature happen from your chair. The remote takes a CR2032 coin battery. The fitting has no switch of its own; it is switched at the wall like any ceiling light. As a wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. The packed weight is 0.998KG.
