Donato 12 Light Crystal Chandelier - Gold

The Donato is an 80cm two-tier crystal chandelier built around two stacked brushed gold bands, each ringed with rows of faceted rectangular crystal prisms. Twelve G9 lamps sit inside the gold rings and project light outwards through the crystal, picking up reflections across both tiers. The wider upper ring sits above a smaller lower ring, giving the fitting a stepped silhouette rather than the flat profile of a single-tier crystal pendant.

At 80cm wide and 57cm tall, the Donato suits dining rooms, double-height entrance halls, stairwell voids and larger living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher. It works as the primary ceiling light in rooms where the chandelier is intended to anchor the space visually. Suspension is adjustable on installation, allowing the drop to be set to clear a dining table by 700-800mm or to centre the fitting in a hallway.

The brushed gold bands give the metalwork a softer, warmer tone than polished or plated brass, reducing glare from the twelve G9 lamps. The crystal prisms are cut with vertical facets that run the full depth of each tier, so the chandelier reads as a continuous band of crystal when viewed from across a room and as individual prisms when viewed up close. The gold inner reflectors bounce warm light back through the crystal for a richer glow than a chandelier with a white or clear interior.

What bulbs does the Donato take?

The chandelier takes twelve G9 capsule bulbs rated up to 33W each. G9 LED bulbs are widely available and recommended to reduce heat output and running cost. Bulbs are sold separately.

What ceiling height is needed?

With a 57cm fitting height plus suspension cable, the Donato works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. Over a dining table, the lower edge of the chandelier typically sits 700-800mm above the table surface, which allows lower ceilings to accommodate the fitting if the suspension is shortened on installation.

Is it dimmable?

The chandelier itself is compatible with dimming when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific bulb and dimmer combination — please contact us before pairing if you need confirmation.

How are the crystals cleaned?

Switch off the power and allow the bulbs to cool before cleaning. Wipe the crystal prisms with a soft, lint-free cloth, slightly dampened with distilled water if needed. Avoid spray cleaners on the brushed gold bands, as residues can mark the finish. Dry the crystal immediately to prevent water spotting.
