Delmar 4 Light Flush Ceiling Light - Polished Chrome Crystal Glass

The Delmar is a 390mm flush ceiling light with a round frosted glass diffuser, a clear glass outer rim, and a cluster of Asfour crystal spheres at the centre, all mounted on a polished chrome base plate. Four G9 bulbs (sold separately) sit behind the frosted glass, casting ambient light through the diffuser while the clear rim creates a defined illuminated edge. The crystal spheres at the centre reflect and refract light from the polished chrome back plate beneath them, adding visual depth to the fitting.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or lower where pendant lights would hang too low, the Delmar's 150mm projection makes it suitable for bedrooms, hallways, living rooms and smaller lounges. The flush mount sits directly against the ceiling rose, removing the need for chain or rod suspension. The frosted glass softens the direct glare from the G9 bulbs while still allowing enough light transmission for the fitting to act as primary room lighting rather than accent light.

The polished chrome finish on the base and mounting hardware provides a reflective surface that pairs with contemporary and modern interiors, while the crystal and glass combination works in transitional settings where both decorative and functional light is needed. The Delmar is dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 LED or halogen bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch, allowing the light output to be adjusted for daytime task use or softer evening ambient light. At 3.5kg the fitting requires secure fixing to a standard ceiling rose or junction box rated for the weight.

What bulbs does the Delmar take?

The fitting takes four G9 capsule bulbs, each up to 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit LED G9 bulbs between 2-4W and 2700K-3000K for warm white ambient light. Halogen G9 bulbs are also compatible but run hotter and consume more energy.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 150mm projection from ceiling to base makes the Delmar a good option for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or lower where a pendant light would sit too low or feel visually heavy.

Is the Delmar dimmable?

The fitting itself is compatible with dimming, but you must fit dimmable G9 bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. Not all LED G9 bulbs dim smoothly, so check the bulb specification before purchase if dimming is required.

How is the glass cleaned?

Switch off at the mains and allow the fitting to cool completely. The glass diffuser and crystal spheres can be wiped gently with a soft microfibre cloth. For marks on the glass, a barely-damp cloth with a small amount of glass cleaner is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystal or getting moisture into the bulb sockets.
