Delmar 4 Light Crystal Flush Ceiling Light - French Gold

The Delmar is a 390mm flush ceiling light combining a French gold metal frame with a circular frosted glass diffuser and a cluster of Asfour crystal spheres at the centre. Four G9 bulbs (sold separately) sit behind the frosted glass panel, which distributes light evenly across the room while the crystal cluster refracts and multiplies reflections through the clear glass rim.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or lower where a pendant would hang too low, the Delmar sits 150mm from the ceiling and provides both ambient and decorative light. The frosted glass softens the output from the G9 bulbs, preventing glare, while the clear outer ring frames the fitting and allows light to pass through to the crystal spheres. This works well in dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways and low-ceilinged living rooms where overhead light is needed without a drop pendant.

The French gold finish has a warmer, slightly aged tone compared to polished brass, sitting between antique brass and satin brass on the spectrum. The metal frame holds the frosted glass disc in place and forms a shallow bowl around the crystal cluster, which catches and reflects light when the fitting is switched on. The 3.5kg weight gives the fitting a solid build quality typical of Diyas metalwork.

Dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 LED bulbs, the Delmar allows brightness to be adjusted from full output for task lighting down to low ambient levels for evening use. The crystal spheres are precision-cut Asfour crystal, not acrylic or glass beads, which gives sharper refraction and more defined light patterns when the fitting is lit.

What bulbs does it take?

The Delmar takes four G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs between 3-5W in warm white (2700K-3000K) for general room lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable G9 LED bulbs. The fitting itself supports dimming, but you must use bulbs marked as dimmable and pair them with a compatible LED dimmer switch.

What ceiling height is needed?

The Delmar sits 150mm from the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights as low as 2.3m. This is a flush fitting designed specifically for low ceilings where drop pendants would hang too low.

How is the crystal cluster cleaned?

Switch off the mains power before cleaning. Wipe the crystals with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal frame or glass diffuser and do not use chemical sprays or polishes on the crystals.
