Description

The Dawson is a large outdoor wall lantern standing 556mm tall with a black oxide aluminium frame, bevelled glass panels on four sides, and a curved burnished bronze handle arching over the top. Inside the glass enclosure, two E14 candle bulbs (sold separately, max 40W each) sit on vertical candle sleeves, visible through the clear glass. The IP44 rating protects against rain and outdoor conditions on UK porches, garage walls and entrance columns.

Designed for larger exterior walls where a commanding presence is needed without overwhelming the building's proportions, the Dawson suits entrance porches on detached homes, driveway gate pillars, and wide garage door surrounds. The 243mm projection from the wall means the lantern sits proud of the building line, casting light down onto the wall and ground below. The bevelled glass panes distribute light cleanly in four directions rather than just forward, making the fitting effective for corner positions or pillars where light needs to spread around an obstacle.

The black oxide finish on the aluminium frame is a flat, low-sheen coating that resists salt air corrosion and weathering better than painted finishes, while the burnished bronze handle adds a contrasting warm tone without introducing brass into the palette.
