Description

The Davos is a 100mm cube outdoor wall light with an integrated 12W dimmable LED, finished in dark anthracite powder-coat aluminium. The fitting projects 100mm from the wall and casts light both upward and downward through narrow apertures at the top and bottom of the cube, creating two vertical beams of 2700K warm white light that graze the wall surface above and below the fitting.

Designed for exterior walls on contemporary homes, porches, garden walls and pathway lighting, the Davos suits positions where architectural accent lighting is needed rather than broad wash coverage. The dual-beam configuration highlights vertical surfaces and casts soft pools of light onto paving or gravel below, while the IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water spray from any direction. The dimmable LED allows output to be adjusted from full 1100lm brightness down to a low ambient glow, depending on the scene or time of evening.

The anthracite finish is a near-black grey tone that recedes into dark brick, slate cladding and timber facades during daylight, becoming visible only when the light is switched on after dark. The 100mm cube form gives the fitting a compact, geometric presence without dominating smaller wall sections, and the aluminium construction keeps the installed weight to 610g. The fitting mounts onto a standard UK back box with two fixing screws concealed behind the front plate.

Is the Davos suitable for fully exposed outdoor positions?

The IP54 rating protects against dust and water spray from any direction, making it suitable for most exterior wall positions including porches, garden walls and building facades. It is not rated for direct immersion or permanent heavy rain exposure, so avoid positions where water can pool on top of the fitting.

What type of dimmer is required?

The integrated LED requires a trailing-edge (TRIAC) dimmer rated for LED loads. Most modern UK dimmers labelled 'LED compatible' will work, but check the dimmer specification matches the 12W load before installation.

Does the light shine forward or only up and down?

The Davos casts light only upward and downward through apertures at the top and bottom of the cube. There is no forward-facing light emission — the cube body remains dark and the beams graze the wall surface above and below the fitting.

Can it be installed on a rendered or brick wall?

Yes. The fitting mounts onto a standard UK outdoor back box with two fixing screws. On brick or rendered walls the back box should be recessed or surface-mounted depending on wall construction, and the cable entry sealed to maintain the IP54 rating.
