Description
The Dasten EL16 is a low-standing outdoor bollard that throws a soft pool of light at ground level, ideal for marking the edge of a path or border. It runs a single G9 lamp up to 11W from a standard 220 to 240V AC mains supply, with the LED source giving a crisp, modern beam. In the US this style is known as a path light or garden post light, sitting free on the ground rather than fixing to a wall. Its slim 70 by 100 mm footprint and 160 mm height keep it discreet among low planting and edging, with the black and anthracite tones helping it recede by day.
Designed for paths, drives, borders and small garden zones, the Dasten works best run as a series spaced along a route to wash the surface underfoot for safe movement after dark. The downward, close-range throw suits flanking a doorway approach, lining a gravel drive, or picking out a step in a patio edge, rather than lighting a whole area. With an IP44 rating it is built for sheltered, splash-prone spots such as a covered porch, carport or a planted bed under eaves, so position it clear of fully-exposed ground that takes direct rain or standing water. Set the units a metre or two apart for an even run of light along a longer path.
The body is cast from aluminium alloy for outdoor durability, finished in anthracite to weather quietly against paving and planting. It carries an IP44 rating against splashes and takes a replaceable G9 lamp, so the light source can be swapped without changing the fitting. The bollard is ground-standing and base-fixed onto a firm surface or footing, not wall-mounted, and is supplied ready to wire to a 220 to 240V AC supply. It weighs 356 g and stands 160 mm tall. The Dasten range includes further bollard sizes for matching a run across a garden scheme.

Frequently Asked
Can the Dasten bollard be used outdoors?
Yes, within sheltered outdoor spots. Its IP44 rating protects against splashes and rain blown under cover, making it suited to paths, borders, porches and carports. Keep it clear of fully-exposed positions that take direct water jets or standing water.
Is it ground-mounted or fixed to a wall?
It is a free-standing ground bollard, base-fixed onto a firm surface or footing rather than mounted on a wall. At 160 mm tall it sits low among edging and planting to wash light across the ground beside a path or drive.
What bulb does it take and can it be replaced?
It uses a single replaceable G9 lamp up to 11W, running from a 220 to 240V AC mains supply. Because the lamp is not integrated, you can swap the light source without replacing the whole fitting, and choose a colour temperature to suit your scheme.
How should the bollards be spaced along a path?
For an even run of light, set the units roughly a metre or two apart along the route. The light throws downward over a close range to mark the surface underfoot, so closer spacing gives a more continuous glow on longer paths and drives.
