Description

These pink stoneware bowls come as a set of four, each 20.5cm across and 7.5cm tall and holding 890ml. That makes them a generous single serving size: deep enough for a ladleful of soup or a bowl of noodles, and wide enough for a pasta supper or a full salad. Around the lower half runs a speckled, mottled band, and the pink deepens from the rim towards the foot, so each bowl looks softer from above and richer from the side. The sides flare gently from a neat, low foot to a smooth rim.

We see them as everyday bowls for the kitchen and the dining table: porridge or yoghurt in the morning, noodle soup or pasta at supper, a big salad when friends visit. With four in the set there is one each for a household of four, and they suit a casual meal as readily as a laid table.
