The Cotswold Lane is a 292mm diameter outdoor flush ceiling light with two E27 bulb fittings enclosed behind clear bevelled glass panels set in a black metal frame. The IP44 rating protects against splashing water and solid objects above 1mm, making it suitable for covered porches, carports, balconies and exterior hallways where the fitting sits under a protective overhang rather than fully exposed to rain.

Designed for locations where a low ceiling or soffit requires a compact fitting, the 168mm height sits close to the mounting surface while the architectural moulding around the top edge and bevelled glass panels add detail to what would otherwise be a plain flush mount. The two E27 sockets take standard LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W each (sold separately), giving control over light temperature and brightness depending on whether the space is used for security lighting, functional porch light or ambient outdoor dining.

The clear bevelled glass panels provide full light transmission without the diffusion of frosted glass, directing light downward and outward from the ceiling mount rather than creating a glow around the fitting itself. The black powder-coated metal frame resists corrosion in coastal and damp environments better than painted finishes, though periodic cleaning with a damp cloth removes salt build-up and dirt from the glass bevels. The IP44 rating protects against splashing water but not direct rain or submersion. Install the Cotswold Lane under a porch roof, carport overhang, or covered balcony where the fitting is sheltered from direct weather exposure.

What bulbs does it take?

The fitting takes two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K for exterior porch lighting, or daylight-temperature LEDs for security applications.

How is it fitted to the ceiling?

The flush mount base plate fixes directly to a standard UK ceiling rose or junction box using screws supplied with the fitting. The 168mm height includes the base plate, glass housing and top moulding, so the fitting projects approximately 170mm from the ceiling surface once installed.

Is the glass replaceable if broken?

The clear bevelled glass panels are integral to the metal frame and are not sold as separate replacement parts by Feiss. Handle with care during installation and cleaning.
