Cosmos 5 Light Crystal Flush Ceiling Light - Polished Chrome

The Cosmos is a 420mm flush crystal ceiling light with five G9 bulb fittings arranged beneath a polished chrome circular canopy. Layered chains of square-cut Asfour crystal hang in concentric circles from the canopy, converging toward the centre to create a dome-shaped curtain of glass. Each crystal facet refracts light from the five bulbs, casting bright, scattered reflections across the ceiling and walls.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or above where a pendant would hang too low, the Cosmos provides decorative crystal lighting in a format that sits only 105mm below the ceiling. The fitting suits bedrooms, hallways, landings, and compact living spaces where ceiling clearance is limited but decorative impact is still wanted. The five G9 bulbs (sold separately) can be paired with dimmable LED capsules to adjust brightness from task-level illumination to soft ambient glow.

The polished chrome canopy and frame reflect and amplify the sparkle from the Asfour crystal, which is cut using traditional techniques to maximise light refraction. The combined crystal chains and frame weigh 3kg, so the fitting requires a secure ceiling joist or reinforced ceiling rose for safe installation. The chrome finish pairs with contemporary interiors, modern metallics and cooler-toned colour schemes without the warmth of brass or gold finishes.

Is this dimmable?

The fitting itself is compatible with dimmer switches, but the bulbs must be dimmable G9 LED or halogen capsules. Standard non-dimmable G9 LEDs will not work with a dimmer and may flicker or fail if used on a dimmed circuit.

What bulbs does it take?

The Cosmos takes five G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each (sold separately). Most users fit 3-5W warm-white LED G9 bulbs at 2700K-3000K to achieve ambient lighting with lower energy consumption than halogen equivalents.

What ceiling height is needed?

The fitting projects only 105mm below the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights from 2.3m upwards. In rooms below 2.4m a flush fitting like the Cosmos avoids the head-clearance issues that come with pendant lights.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power at the consumer unit before cleaning. Wipe each crystal piece gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth with distilled water can be used, but avoid soaking the crystals or using household sprays which may leave residue or damage the polished chrome frame.
