Description

The Coniston is a 1580mm crystal floor lamp built around a polished chrome stem and circular base, with a 360mm diameter crystal shade composed of multiple tiers of clear faceted crystal droplets. Three E14 bulb fittings sit inside the crystal canopy, each rated up to 20W, casting light through the faceted crystal to create scattered reflections across walls and ceilings.

Designed for living rooms, lounges and bedrooms where ambient decorative lighting is wanted alongside a piece that functions as sculpture, the Coniston suits spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher. The lamp stands independently on a weighted circular chrome base approximately 300mm in diameter, requiring no wall fixing or overhead support. The crystal tiers are pre-strung during manufacture and do not require assembly beyond attaching the shade to the stem during unpacking.

The polished chrome finish on the stem and base provides high reflectivity that amplifies the crystal's light scatter, while the clear faceted crystal droplets show prismatic colour shifts under natural daylight and warm colour rendering under 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. What bulbs does the Coniston take?

The lamp takes three E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 20W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to show the crystal colour shifts without excessive brightness.

Is the Coniston dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch on the mains circuit. The lamp itself does not include a dimmer — dimming is controlled by the wall switch or plug-in dimmer module.

Does the crystal require assembly?

The crystal droplets are pre-strung onto the metal tiers during manufacture. Assembly on unpacking involves attaching the shade to the chrome stem and connecting the power cable — no individual crystal stringing is required.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Isolate the mains supply before cleaning. Wipe each crystal droplet with a dry microfibre cloth. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works well, but avoid soaking the metal fittings and dry the crystals immediately to prevent water spotting.
