Description

The Coniston is an 800mm-diameter crystal chandelier built in an inverted acorn form, with 25 E14 bulb fittings distributed across multiple tiers of faceted clear crystal droplets on a polished chrome frame. The chandelier suspends on an adjustable chain allowing drop heights from 1380mm to 3830mm, making it suitable for double-height entrance halls, staircases and large dining rooms with ceiling heights between 3.5m and 6m.

The cascading tiers of crystal create a vertical gradient of light intensity, with denser crystal coverage at the top tapering to sparser coverage at the base. When the 25 bulbs are lit, the faceted crystals refract and multiply the light output across surrounding walls and ceilings. The polished chrome frame amplifies this effect by reflecting light back through the crystal layers. At 57.5kg, the chandelier requires secure ceiling fixing into a structural joist or beam — installation typically involves two people and professional electrical work.

Each crystal element is individually hung on chrome metalwork, forming the acorn profile through layered assembly rather than a single moulded form. The E14 fittings accept candle-style LED or halogen bulbs up to 20W each (bulbs sold separately), giving a combined maximum output of 500W. Dimmer compatibility depends on bulb choice — pairing with dimmable LED candles and a trailing-edge dimmer allows full control from ambient glow to full brightness.
